Our annual questionaire is sent by direct mail and/or accompanying trade magazines to these specific segments within the US and Canada: Full-service restaurants, limited-service restaurants, bars and taverns, lodging, non-commercial foodservice (college/university, primary/secondary, B&I, healthcare, etc). We also conduct phone and face-to-face surveys of certain segments and/or areas to ensure complete coverage of the market.
We build a representative sample, according to breakdowns of the market (regions, business types and size, etc.) based on segmentation established by Technomic and CHD Expert.
This corrected sample generally covers 3-5% of the complete market, with thousands of respondents, reaching a very high confidence interval. Quality control is also conducted on all returned questionaires.
