We use many sources to build each record. We access Web sites, directories, chain guides, Yellow Pages, to name just a few, all to “flesh-out” the profile for each contact. Sometimes information is readily available? as with distributor invoices ? But it is not useful until collated. Compiling all of the data from all of the various sources provides a rich source of information and often exposes underserved segments or marketing opportunities.

We extrapolate data

DATABASE CLEANSING

We will check and monitor every detail: addresses according to the Post Office standards (USPS CASS, Post Canada, La Poste, …), spelling, duplicate records, obsolete information, and so forth.. Additionally, if requested, we can match your database with our own – and add value – to your existing records by adding information from our lists: We can append your data with information you may be missing such as category
(segment and sub-segment), size (meals, sales, employees, yearly purchases), chain or independent, number of rooms, stars or seats, just to name a few. This allows you to segment markets more accurately. This matching of databases also provides you with a means by which to calculate your penetration rate by segment, sales rep area, zip code, … and evaluate the performance of your sales force or distributors and/or acquire new potential customers.
BUILDING A DATABASE
Do your sales depend on distributors? If so, it is now increasingly important to build a relationship with the final users because they have become more influential in the product-purchase decision. This can be accomplished by building a database of operators (independents or chains) which will chronologically document all the integrated marketing activities year-by-year (direct-marketing campaign responses, sales-rep visits, trade show contacts). If your company uses a CRM system, entering this information will allow you to compare sales related to marketing activity level; a very useful tool for planning future marketing campaigns. If you are a distributor, we often build a “clone” of the invoices database to build this history of marketing activity.
