- The Bakeries/Donuts/Snacks and Frozen Desserts Menu Types combined make up approximately 6% of all restaurants in the United States.
- With regard to bakery data, the majority of Bakery Café’s (55%) have been open for 5+ years. Donut establishments share a similar trend, with 70% being open for 5+ years.
- Ice Cream / Dairy foodservice establishments make up 48% of the dessert restaurant landscape in the US.
- Approximately 4% of restaurants in the Bakeries/Donuts/Snacks Menu Type are dedicated to serving Pretzels.
