Walmart Asks Leafy Greens Suppliers to Adopt Blockchain Technology

Walmart and Sam’s Club formally requested their fresh, leafy greens suppliers to begin tracing their produce all the way back to its farm origin with the help of blockchain technology. The program will be known as the Walmart Food Traceability Initiative.


PepsiCo earnings beat expectations, boosted by North American beverage unit

PepsiCo reported third-quarter earnings that exceeded Wall Street expectations thanks to a revival of the North American beverage segment of their portfolio, which posted organic growth of 2.5%, according to a company release. Last quarter, the business division's organic growth was down 1.5%.
